The wisdom of being drugged out

Went for a dental surgery (Grewal Dental Surgery in Bangsar) today to remove an incalcitrant wisdom tooth. Damage ended up with RM 770 and an incredible amount of pain once the anesthetic wore off. Quickly dosed up on pain meds; thank ${DEITY} for the painkillers because I doubt I could have made it otherwise.

Three teeth down and the good news is that in two days, if all is well, I will never have to worry about impacted wisdom teeth, which in itself is a great relief. Never hated dentists in my life, but I can see now why people hate visiting them. The Significant Other tells me that apparently, in Holland, they have special dentists for people who hate dentists (!). So, these special dentists do counselling as well as doing dentist-work.

RM 770 was perhaps expensive by current market rates but the dentist was fast and efficient, both being functions of experience, and that was a sufficiently good enough reason for me to pay extra. The gum is swollen but healing fine. I should be up and around in a couple days :)
