Happy Diwali!
To fellow Jains and Hindus, have a Joyous Diwali!
And may I say that it’s a most excellent time for UMNO to hold their Annual General Meeting. One can only expect that the (hopefully) coincidental timing with Diwali will benefit UMNO delegates in seeing the light (pun intended) and illuminate to them of their horrifyingly racist, supremacist, intolerant and extremist views on nation building.
postscript: In case you’re wondering, I’m not buying this year’s tone-downed UMNO AGM polemics. After the racist keris-waving stunt, the multiple scandals and tough trashy talk we’ve seen in the last one year, I’ve lost all trust and hope that the current generation of UMNO leaders are interested in building an equitable culture and environment for all Malaysians. In many ways, our country is as fsck-ed up as the United States. The difference is that they have Obama and Ron Paul. Who do we have?
